Ecologist and author Jenny Bowen starts 2020 sharing her knowledge of the Kingdom of Eswatini

Ecologist and author Jenny Bowen starts off 2020 by representing The Kingdom of Eswatini at two prestigious travel events in London.

Jenny, who lives in Clevedon, near Bristol, has spent her life working in and around southern Africa.  For the last 14 years, she’s run her company Sense Africa organising tailor made safaris, expedition and adventure holidays for couples, families and groups – away from the hubbub of mass tourism. With a business partner she also launched similar experiences in India.

She will be a guest speaker at The Adventure Travel Show which is hosting 70 inspirational talks across four theatres and runs from January 18 to 19 2020. Jenny’s talk will be about what visitors can see and experience in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Her stand number is A39.

Jenny will also be exhibiting at Destinations: the UK’s largest and longest-running, annual Holiday & Travel Show between January 30 and February 2 at Olympia. Sponsored by The Times, The Sunday Times and Times Expert Traveller, the show will be hosting hundreds of leading and independent tour operators, including over 75 tourist boards from across the globe.  Jenny’s company is the only official tour operator offering experiences in the Kingdom of Eswatini (previously Swaziland[JB1] ) and she will be the representative for the country at the show (stand AF81).

Destinations describe the Kingdom of Eswatini as a small country with a big heart; friendly people and a surprising variety of attractions. A rich culture of unique and ancient traditions is carefully guarded and faithfully celebrated.

Jenny will promote the stunning and varied landscapes that can be explored and what the country’s parks and reserves offer including safaris to see the Big Five with some of the best rhino experiences in Africa.

Jenny said: “It is a privilege to be acknowledged and recognised as someone who has been bringing visitors to the Kingdom of Eswatini since 1999. There is something special about this country which leaves you with a real sense of belonging. This talk is for those who want to discover a nation which embodies the essence of Africa in a small yet diverse destination. It has stunning scenery, the people rejoice in its exhilarating culture and its wildlife experiences are up close and personal.

“It’s an honour to be invited to attend these events. It’s another opportunity for me to share my passion for this exceptional country.”

Prior to running her own company, Jenny lived in various places in Africa working as an ecologist on various conservation projects including the Save Valley Conservancy, Zimbabwe and the Vanuatu Protected Areas Initiative in the south west Pacific.
