INTERMAG 2026 – IEEE International Magnetics Conference

INTERMAG 2026 is an international magnetism conference bringing global experts together for talks, networking and milestone celebrations, including a public IEEE Milestone Ceremony recognising the invention of Manchester code.

INTERMAG 2026 – IEEE International Magnetics Conference brings over 2,000 global experts to Manchester Central to explore the latest developments in magnetism, from spintronics to biomedical technology.

Most sessions are for registered attendees, however selected elements are free and open to the public, including the IEEE Milestone Ceremony honouring the 1948 invention of Manchester code and its impact on digital communications and data storage.

• Audience: Trade / professional (with some public sessions)

Additional programme elements include special sessions for students, young professionals, and women in science as part of the technical and social programme.
