Beyond Manchester

Beyond Manchester is an inclusive trail event offering a 25K route or a 55K ultra that explores canals, quays, greenbelt trails and the wilder edges beyond the city.

Beyond Manchester takes place on Saturday 18 July 2026, starting from Castlefield, Manchester.

This trail adventure offers two route options: a 25K trail and a 55K ultra, designed for runners and walkers who want to explore lesser-seen routes across Manchester’s canals, quays and greenbelt edges.

Races and start times

• 55K Ultra (Age 20+): 08.00am – 55 km trail running (+270 m ascent) (£68–£70)
• 25K Trail (Age 18+): 09.30am – 25 km trail running (+102 m ascent) (£43–£45)
