Spooktacular Halloween Events in Manchester

Do you fancy going out to celebrate Halloween in Manchester? There are many brilliant Halloween events in and around Manchester and we've selected some of the best to help you find the right one for you.

1.  Halloween in the city; Trick or Treat Trail

About:  Scary themed trail across the city centre. Maps are available from the information point in Exchange Square. You'll find trick or treat spooky houses across the city – there’s a different character at each, waiting to greet you. Check off each point and collect a special treat. Dress up and get in to character!

Where: Manchester City Centre; Market Street, Manchester Arndale, New Cathedral Street, House of Fraser, The Printworks, St Ann’s Square, the Old Bank Residency NOMA. 

When: 26 & 27 Oct, 10.00 to 18.00

2.  Haunting at 1837; Vanishing Cabaret 

About:  Not one for the kids! The team behind the sell-out Vanishing Cabaret present a one-of-a-kind authentic Victorian Séance. Fantastic option for a unique and haunting halloween experience. In the apparently haunted basement of 1837, the chilling accounts of witnesses who have experienced unwanted visitors are told. Paranormal experiments will be conducted using traditional & modern methods in an attempt to make contact with the spirits.

3.  Halloween Family Spooktacular

About: An action packed freaky fun day for all the Family! Join in with Ghoulish Games and activities including Pumpkin Painting, Creepy Crawlies, Face painting, Slime Making, Bobbing apples, and much more! Best fancy dress prize and a Monster Mash Disco! LIVE Gunge tank game show by TV's own Dave Benson-Phillips! Do you want to see your parent, friend or family member get covered in GUNGE?

Where: A J Bell Stadium, Manchester M30 7EY 

When: 20th October, 1pm onwards

4.  Howloween: An Alternative Halloween Party for Hounds… and their owners!

About: Hatch is bringing an alternative Halloween celebration to its fabulous dog-friendly space.
Don’t leave your furry friend at home to ignore the trick or treaters, bring them along to Hatch to party with other four legged friends. Fancy dress for you and your pooches; there will be a ‘Spooky Pooch’ competition where the ‘Spookiest Best Dressed Pooch’ will win an overnight stay for two at the ‘award winning’ dog friendly neighbouring hotel, The Principal Manchester. There’ll also be a DJ Set from The Devil's Jukebox, as well as dog-friendly pop-ups.

5. Twisted Circus Halloween Festival

About: Terrifying Halloween festival; witness death-defying acts, crazy characters and a heart-pumping soundtrack for an unforgettable experience. Welcome to the dark side of the circus. From Body Stapling to Pierced Weight Lifting to the incredibly dangerous Bed of Blades, you'll be in for quite a show. Book early to avoid disappointment.
