TBR BOOK FESTIVAL

A new independent book festival in Manchester bringing together indie authors, illustrators and creative businesses, with activities, prizes and indie awards.

TBR Book Festival is a new independent book festival celebrating books, creativity and Manchester’s indie community. The event brings together independent authors, illustrators, creatives and small businesses for a day of discovery, conversation and signed book buying.

Date & time: Saturday 12 September 2026, 11:00am–3:00pm

Venue: Band on the Wall, Northern Quarter, Manchester

Tickets: £10 per person; under 12s free

What to expect:

• Meet 20+ indie authors across genres (romance, fantasy, horror, thrillers, sci-fi, LGBTQ+ fiction, children’s literature, memoir, poetry and more)
• Stalls from illustrators, artists, bookish creators, independent booksellers and small businesses
• Games and activities (including Spin the Wheel challenges such as Guess the Book and Book Trivia)
• Golden Ticket prize hunts
• TBR Passport with stall stickers and prize competition
• TBR Indie Awards voted by festival guests (voting closes 2:30pm; winners announced 2:45pm)

Event notes: Last entry is 2:30pm. A bar is available beside the main festival space.
