Windy Hill

A 12-mile fell running race from The Rams Head Inn, Oldham, featuring over 2000ft of climbing on trails and paths with checkpoints and winter kit requirements.

Windy Hill is a 12-mile fell race with over 2000ft of climbing on good trails and paths. The route starts from The Rams Head Inn and includes sections via Piethorne Reservoir, Hollingworth Lake area and the climb to Blackstone Edge before returning via the Pennine Way.

Checkpoints provide basic water and sweets, and hot soup is provided back at the pub for runners. As the race is held in February, full FRA kit is required.
