8 of the Best Bars in Manchester

With so much choice across Manchester it can be tough to decide on the best bars in Manchester for you to visit, so we put together a list of our favourites to help guide you on your search for amazing drinks.

Whether you're looking for the best cocktails in Manchester or somewhere for the perfect pint we've got something for you in our list below. If we have missed out your go to venue in our selections of the best bars in Manchester, then let us know on social media @totalmanchester on all major platforms.

1. Speak in Code

Speak in Code is a truly special bar and all-round experience, so much so it’s difficult to put into words. The cocktails on their menu are numbered, allowing you to select your drink purely based on the ingredients. The talented bartenders, led by owner Nathan Larkin, get the most out of each individual ingredient, making beautifully balanced drinks that stimulate multiple senses. To us, the bar is a place to try new things and be led by their expertise rather than expect the classic cocktails done the way they always have been.

2. Bring & Mix

Manchester’s most unique cocktail experience, Bring & Mix add elements of excitement, mystery and flavour knowledge to your evening as you bring the spirits and they mix them. Not only does this mean the mixologists can create drinks specifically to your taste but it is also incredible value for money!

3. Seven Bro7hers Ancoats

Bars don’t have to all be about stunning cocktails, they can also showcase some of the best craft beer around and that is Seven Bro7hers in Ancoats. The Salford based family brewery serve up their beautiful pints that are for those that love their beer to have flavour. There is something for everyone, from their rich stout to a fresh tasting watermelon wheat beer and one of our favourites, the Throwaway IPA made from Kellogg’s cornflakes that didn’t make the cut.

4. The Washhouse

The secret cocktail bar that has built up a reputation for serving extravagant cocktails complete with garnishes that stun. The bar front which could fool you that it is an old launderette rather than a bar requires you to book so you can get through the secret door to enjoy your tipple.
